Course Description

Bridge the gap between everyday English and professional fluency. As you enter the Upper-Intermediate level (B2.1), you will transition from simple communication to engaging confidently with both concrete and abstract concepts. This course focuses on your ability to deconstruct complex arguments—from news reports to technical discussions—and respond with spontaneous, well-structured speech. You will master the art of persuasion by using advanced discourse markers to organize your thoughts, allowing you to narrate events with depth and articulate opinions with logical reasoning.


Learning Objectives & Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Analytical Comprehension: Identify the main ideas in complex spoken and written texts, including technical discussions in your field of interest.

  • Spontaneous Interaction: Participate effectively in conversations with a degree of fluency that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible.

  • Argumentative Skills: Identify arguments for and against a position, allowing you to debate and respond appropriately to various viewpoints.

  • Structural Mastery: Produce clear, detailed, and well-structured texts and presentations on a wide range of academic and personal subjects.

  • Academic Vocabulary: Utilize an expanding range of specialized and academic vocabulary to add precision to your speech and writing.


Prerequisites

  • Completion of CEFR B1.2 or equivalent proficiency.

  • Learners should already be able to produce coherent narratives and handle most social situations with ease.
