Course Description

Step into the world of Advanced English. Building on B2.2, this course is designed for learners ready to master the subtleties of the language. You will move beyond functional fluency to recognize implicit meanings, cultural nuances, and hidden attitudes in demanding, long-form texts. By exploring vocabulary from literature, philosophy, and history, you will learn to use English with the flexibility and precision required for high-level academic and professional environments. You will refine your mastery of complex grammar—including advanced subjunctive and indirect style—allowing you to express abstract ideas with the sophistication of a proficient speaker.


Learning Objectives & Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Interpret Deep Meaning: Comprehend a wide range of demanding spoken and written materials, identifying nuance, irony, and implicit messages.

  • Flexible Expression: Express yourself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions, adapting your style for social, academic, or professional settings.

  • Idiomatic Mastery: Recognize and utilize idiomatic and colloquial expressions to sound more natural and culturally aware.

  • Advanced Composition: Produce clear, well-structured, and detailed texts on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors, and cohesive devices.

  • Complex Decoding: Follow extended debates and technical discussions even when the information is not explicitly stated.


Prerequisites

  • Completion of CEFR B2.2 or equivalent upper-intermediate proficiency.

  • Learners should be highly independent and capable of defending complex opinions with evidence.
